20 Years and Counting

Stratecade LLC is owned and operated by me, Tyler Sigman. My first published game was around 1999, and the years aren’t slowing down. I became a full-time game designer in 2004, so it looks like this career path just might stick.

Stratecade is the umbrella under which I work on independent game designs, provide consulting services to the games industry, and also publish games. Stratecade recently acquired the rights to one of my previous designs, the strategy-arcade title HOARD.

Darkest Dungeon is an incredible take on the classic dungeon crawl. The game brings Lovecraftian lore to new heights with cool classes, powerful narration, stylish art, and addictive gameplay that will keep you crawling back to battle slithering monstrosities even as your favorite heroes become corpses.

About Me

And the genesis of Stratecade

I am old enough to have played Space Invaders in the arcade, Pong at home, and everything since, both on and off the computer.

My first career was as an aircraft engineer, until I faced the reality that there wasn’t enough creative stimulation. Now I’m doing what I love, and grateful for it.

I specialize in game systems design. Mechanics are what I live and breathe.

I started Stratecade LLC (formerly Sigman Creative Services) in 2007. It was renamed out of my love for games that are a hybrid of game genres. HOARD was a “strategy arcade” crossover. Hence: Stratecade.

I have a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly, and an MBA from Colorado State University. I’m originally from Boulder, CO, but now live in sunny Seattle.
